Tutorial: How to Create Fun Spring Nails Using a Round Band Aid

Hey Cupcakes :)
So, I recently came across this little band aid trick and I thought I would do a nail art Tutorial and share it with you guys. If you want to know how you can create this fun and different nail look for Spring, just keep reading :)

♥ 1. As always, start off by painting your nails with a base coat to help protect them against staining. Now, paint all off your nails white. They have to be 100% dry before you do the next step.

♥ 2. Take out one off your round band aids. What I like to do first, is to place it on my skin and then remove so that it wont be as much adhesive left on it. The reason why I do it is because I don't want my nail polish to come off when I remove the band aid.

♥ 3. When you have placed the band aid on your nail, take a bright/pastel Spring color off your choice. Remember that some band aids have tiny holes in them so don't paint over the entire band aid. Now, slowly pull off the band aid and ta-da, your finished :)

 ♥ The Finished Look.

Products I used:
NYX Ridge Filler Base Coat
♥ H&M Nail Polish in Pure White
♥ Jesse's Girl Nail Polish in Cupcake Frosting
♥ China Glaze Nail Polish in Lemon Fizz, For Audrey & Entourage
♥ Miners Cosmetics Nail Polish in Coral Cutie

I think this is such a fun look for Spring. You can definitely play around with different colors and combinations and just have fun with the band aid look. My next look is going to be a black one with no base color or maybe a fun pink look, what combination do you think will look cute? :)

If you have tried out this look, please leave the link to your post in the comments below or Tweet me a picture on Twitter, I would love to see it :)

What do you think about this little trick? Have you tried it out yet? Thanks for stopping by :) Xoxo, Christine♥

Tutorial: How To Create Effie Trinket Inspired Nails

Hey Cupcakes :)
Its time for another nail art tutorial and this time it's inspired by Effie Trinket from The Hunger Games. I saw the movie a couple off weeks ago and I really liked her nails. I thought I would try to re-create her nails from the movie. If you want to learn how to create these fun Effie Trinket inspired nails, just keep reading :)

♥ 1. Start off by applying a base coat to protect your nails.

♥ 2. Paint your nails with a medium dark fuchsia nail polish.

♥ 3. After your nails have completely dried, take a gold nail polish and a makeup sponge, and create a gold gradient.

♥ 4. Sponge the first layer off gold nail polish two thirds off the way down your nails. Now, sponge a second layer half down your nails and finally a third layer only on the tip off your nails.

♥ 5. Add a layer off fine glitter nail polish to complete the gradient. Since I don't have one in my collection, I decided to make one myself. If you want to see a DIY post on how you can create your very own glitter nail polish, let me know in the comments below.

♥ 6. Finish with a top coat to protect your design from chipping away. Now your design is finished and you can rock your Effie Trinket inspired nails :)

Products I used:
♥ NYX Ridge Filler Base Coat.
♥ Wet n' Wild Nail Polish in FuchsiaRama
♥ Fine Glitter Nail Polish created by me.

I actually don't like how my design turned out. It was really difficult to get the gold gradient to look exactly like I wanted it to look like and it was also my first time using a makeup sponge. But I guess it turned out okay, I definitely need more practice :)

Have you seen The Hunger Games? What do you think about the nail design? Thanks for looking :) Xoxo, Christine♥

Tutorial: How To Create Easter Bunny Nails

Hey Bunnies :)
It's Easter and I have a really cute nail art design to share with you all today. I love Pink and I like bunnies so I thought this design would be perfect. If you want to see how you can create this really cute Easter nail art design, just keep reading :)

1. Start off by painting all off your nails with a base coat to protect them from staining.

2. Paint all off your nails with a medium pink nail polish except for your ring finger, that's where our bunny design is going to be :)

♥ 3. To make the cute bunny, create a half circle on the tip off your ring finger using a white nail polish.

♥ 4. Take the nail polish brush and use it to create two long ears.

♥ 5. Use your dotting tool to fill in the bunny ears with the same medium pink nail polish you used on your other nails.

♥ 6. Create two big brown eyes and a tiny pink nose. Don't forget to add two tiny white dots inside the brown to complete the eyes.

♥ 7. Finish with a top coat to protect your design from chipping away.

♥ The finished look.

I really like how this nail look turned out and it was extremely easy to do too. I didn't want to overdo it with the bunnies so I just added two bunnies on my nails instead off doing them on all my nails. I paired the design with Pink Friday from the OPI Nicki Minaj Collection and I think it looks really cute, what do you think? :)

Products I used:
♥ NYX Ridge Filler Base Coat.
♥ OPI Nicki Minaj Nail Polish in Pink Friday.
♥ Elf Cosmetics Nail Polish in White.
♥ H&M Nail Polish in Dust & Diamonds.
♥ Seche Vite Dry Fast Top Coat.

How is your Easter going so far? What do you think about the design? Thanks for looking :) Xoxo, Christine♥

Tutorial: How To Create Colorful Houndstooth Print Nails

Hey Dolls :)
I have been really into doing nail art lately and today I have a new Tutorial to share with you all. About a year ago, I did a colorful Zebra nail look and I really liked how it turned out, so instead off using Zebra print this time, I  have used the very popular Houndstooth print :)

If you wan't to see how you can create this colorful, fun and very easy nail look, just keep reading :)

 1. Start off by painting your nails with a base coat to protect your nails.

 2. Take the blue nail polish off your choice and create a stripe. It doesn't have to be perfect because we are going to clean it up after all the stripes have been created. Do the same as you did with the blue nail polish with all the other colors that you have chosen to use for this nail look. Now you have to wait for the stripes to completely dry before doing the next step :)

 3. Now that your design has dried, take your Konad Image Plate number m63 and your Konad Black Special Nail Polish and apply a thick coat off the special polish onto the Houndstooth print on your image plate. Use your scraper to scrape off the extra nail polish, take your stamper and transfer the design onto it. Now, take your stamper and roll the design onto your nail.

4. Apply a top coat to protect your design from chipping away and now your finished! Wasn't that quick and easy? :)

I really like this colorful nail look but I'm not 100% happy with how mine turned out. I love how the Houndstooth Print brings this look together and makes it look more put together. You can change the colors off the stripes to any colors you want and make it more toned down if you prefer that. Nail Art has no limits so don't be scared to play around and have fun with it :)

Products I used:
♥ Girls Night Out, Fashion Friday, Cupcake Frosting & All Things Girly.

♥ NYX Ridge Filler Base Coat, Konad Special Nail Polish in Black & Seche Vite Dry Fast Top Coat.

♥ Konad Image Plate Number m63.

♥ Konad Stamper and Scraper.

What do you think about the Houndstooth Print? Do you like it or hate it? Will you be trying out this nail look? :) Thanks for looking :) Xoxo, Christine♥

Tutorial: How to Create Tuxedo Nails Inspired by Zooey Deschanel

You have probably seen and heard all about Zooey Deschanel's Tuxedo nails that she wore to the 2012 Golden Globes which took place in January. I think Zooey rocked the Tuxedo nails and its has become a big beauty trend already :)

I have seen a few beauty bloggers and Youtube Gurus share their Tuxedo nails so that's what inspired me to do this post. I hope you like this fun nail art tutorial and if you have any nail design ideas for upcoming tutorials, please feel free to share them with me and everyone else in the comment section below :)

Products you are going to need to create this look:
♥ A Base Coat.
♥ A Black and White nail polish
♥ Dotting Tool, Nail Art Striper or a Toothpick.
♥ Top Coat

How to Create the Tuxedo Nails:

1. Start by painting your nails with a base coat to protect your nails. When the base coat has dried, paint all of your nails with a white nail polish of your choice.

2. Use a black striper to connect two lines to create the V shape. Remember that it dont have to be perfect because we are going to fill it in with a black nail polish afterwards.

 3. Fill in the outside of the V shape with any black nail polish of your choice. I just used my Art Deco Striper in Black but you can also use a toothpick or a dotting tool.

4. Use your striper to create an X for the bow tie. Then finish the bow tie by using either a dotting tool, a nail polish striper or a toothpick and dip it into the black nail polish and create the bow.

5. Use your dotting tool and add two small dots of black nail polish to create the buttons and now your finished. After your design has dried, add a top coat to seal in the design and prevent it from chipping away :)

Here is the final result. Its not perfect and I wish the bows came out better than what they did but that's one of the things I really like about nail art. It dont have to be perfect and the more you practice, the better your design is going to look. This was my first time trying out this design and I think it turned out okay :)

Products I Used:
♥ Ridge Filler Base Coat by NYX Cosmetics
♥ Elf Cosmetics Nail Polish in White
♥ Art Deco Nail Polish Striper by L.A. Colors
♥ Seche Vite Dry Fast Top Coat

Do you have any nail art design ideas for upcoming tutorials? Have you tried out the Tuxedo nail trend? :) Thanks for looking :) Xoxo, Christine♥

Tutorial: How To Use Travalo, The Refillable Perfume Atomizer

This cool little gadget is called Travalo and its a 5ml refillable perfume atomizer. I saw it featured in a youtube video a long time ago and I immediately knew I had to get my hands on it :)

I love to wear perfume! I always have 1-2 perfume bottles lying around in my handbag. We all know how heavy our handbags can get with all the different things we carry with us everyday. The Travalo is a pocket sized perfume spray bottle that refills in seconds directly from a big fragrance spray bottle. It comes in many colors which is a perfect way to keep track of your different perfumes :)

How To:

♥ First you have to take the spray head of from your perfume bottle.

♥ Attach the Travalo's bottom on the top of the nozzle peg.

♥ Now, press down repeatedly to see the liquid fill up the Travalo.

♥ The Travalo has a little window that shows you how much product you have left in the container, how awesome is that? :)

Travalo is also aircraft approved. It can be taken in hand as carry on luggage onboard planes anywhere in the world. It has a unique pressure regulating system that makes sure the bottle adjusts to changing air pressure during flights, preventing any leaks, and enabling you to be fully prepared for landing! This is definitely a big plus, its always good to feel fresh when you are in the air, especially on long flights :)

If you enjoy reading my posts, feel free to follow me on Twitter and Facebook, I would love to talk to you guys♥ Im on Twitter and Facebook all the time, so please feel free to leave me any questions or requests you might have and I will get back to you, I pinky promise :)

Do you own a Travalo? :)
